Thanks CQ, I may wind up feeding it to out wonderful coyotes if I don't get to it. I'm having a hard time just getting my walker out to the egg much less trying to carry an 8lb butt also.

Looking to see
if I have some saltless rub???

Bob, try it in your oven. Not as good as the egg, but still tasty. I did that with some butts for Mom's 100th birthday party (no egg available). No complaints from the guests (or me for that matter). Better than feeding raw (paid for) pork to the wildlife!

Butt rub... (calls for 1 Tbls salt - just leave it out)
1 Tbls salt
1 Tbls sugar
1 Tbls brown sugar
1 Tbls ground cumin
1 Tbls chili powder
1 Tbls cracked black pepper
1 Tbls paprika
1 tsp cayenne pepper

Good luck!

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!
