AZ is correct. I recently put one of these magic controller boxes together, I pulled my BGE dial and put the pit probe in it's place instead, but you could just clip your thermo probe to the dial one in the dome. It's been recommended to follow / set your egg to dome temp because it can very so much at the grate, even where it's placed. some theory in practice here -
