That's correct. Amazing isn't it? I've been running a 2003 BGE for this long, As you can see I replaced the upper cap and the lower vent with the one with a screen. I've also replace the gasket a couple of times and the hoop bolts. But I didn't know about a new band. I have lost the plastic retainers that keep it closed but otherwise it's the same.

If there's a new version would you recommend replacing the hoop assembly. I'm willing if there isn't an easy fix for the original.
