Hi Chife Chicken,
I mostly use Lawn Ranger's grid lifter/scraper tool now & then but rely mostly on the flames & heat when lighting the egg. So I feel that my grids have to be sterilized after being in the flames for several minutes.

Hope all is well with your recovery and Mrs. Chicken is doing well.
