Hope they can control the fire and that you are safe my friend. Great photos, here in south Florida natural forest fires are beneficial, whole ecosystems have evolved around them. They do a lot of "prescribed burns" to help control them and protect the ecosystems. For many years they always fought the forest fires and prevented them from burning. This allowed to much fuel to accumulate on the forest floor and fires burned to hot, killing what normally survived. Even the Indians of Florida knew to set fires so the deer would come graze on the new growth making hunting easier. It is that time of year again and we are approaching our fire season. Winters are dry here and as we get closer to summer almost anything can start a fire, I have seen trains start them when their steel wheels make sparks on the tracks, in a couple months lightening will be a cause. We are under a red flag warning, a fire weather advisory now, they could be common until the summer rains start. I hope "The Sleeping Lady" is green and lush with the summer rains and that no body is hurt.
