Thought I would share this EGGstatic recipe for the Loneyheads in the world and future inductees.
Paste, Mac & Cheese, Loney, Loney, Holy Macaloney!
1 Lb Ditalini Pasta, Cooked per package directions.
1/4 Stick Butter
1/2 Large Vidalia Onion, Chopped medium.
2 Tbs Holy Smokin' Chipotle
3 8 Ozs Pkg Cream Cheese
2 Cups 1/2 & 1/2 HEAVY CREAM
3 Cups Chopped Loney, ham or whatever meat you prefer
3 Whole Hatch Green Chiles, Chopped or 2-4 Ozs Cans
1/4 Cup Chopped Garlic Chives
Seasoning of choice
1 Cup Durkee's French Onions
1 Take the butter and sauté the onions. Add the cream cheese cut into chunks and the 1/2 & 1/2. Place on low heat and melt, may want to whisk at the end for the little chunks of cream cheese that do not melt. Add the chiles and the meat, stir and then add the garlic chives.
2 Place in a greased baking dish and place over the top the French's onions that have been crushed in a ziploc bag. Add more chives for garnish.
3 Bake on BGE for 45 minutes Serve as a side dish.
