Bob and I regularly stay in touch outside of this forum and we have for years.
I know he has had a computer problem and recently purchased a new $1k Apple. Just the same his “light has gone dark.”
I had thought his sister would contact me if it was something serious, but then I thought the same a short while back when he was hospitalized, but she didn’t...

If he is once again in the hospital which wouldn't surprise any of us then I know it would be the VA and there is no way they will disclose if he was there.

Just called the Phoenix VA hospital and asked to be transferred to Bob. I'm guessing they'll transfer the call to a room, they just won't give you the room number or tell you what's wrong with the patient. Anyway, she looked and said they didn't have a patient by that name. There's also a VA clinic in Phoenix, but they were closed. Michael

I just now hung up from talking with the sheriffs' dept where Bob lives and filed what we call a "check on the well being on an elderly person" request. They took all the pertinent info and promised to have a deputy check on him for me and to give me a call back. *********

CRAP!!!! The sheriff dispatcher just called back - the deputy just reported the address I have had for Bob after ALL these years turns out to just be a mail drop service in a strip shopping mall and they can't help me at all! *********

I just got a 3rd call back from the sheriffs's dept and someone knew Bob and sent someone else to his apt. His next door neighbor said he was taken to a local hospital - NOT a VA clinic - 3 days ago and "he will probably be in there for a couple of weeks"! whatever that means!
I then called the clinic where he is and after 3 phone calls which never went thru I called again and a nurse went down and asked if his phone wasn't working since he never picked up. She said his reply was "whoever it was can call back...I'm eating..."
At least we know he is eating... *********

I don't even know Bob's last name! We have emailed back and forth through the years, but I would have no idea how to find him in a HOSPITAL! Egging since 1996.

I just got off the phone with Bob! He is in a rehab unit. He said he had been falling repeatedly and is in constant severe pain throughout his body.
His neighbor is supposed to bring him his phone charger and his old computer today so I'll let him tell you folks more. *********
