Meat loaf on the Egg is one of my favorite cooks. And with first of the summer local sweet corn and Colcannon mashed potatoes, makes a great meal! Not to mention sandwiches from leftovers...

Looks great Basscat, you eat well. What is the loaf sitting on? Is it a flexible mat?

Thanks,

Silicone grill mats that BBQ Guru Company sold a long time ago. Haven't seen anything quite like them since.

I've got four of those mats, I wrap two around the meatloaf, to make a round loaf, I use toothpicks to hold the them together.

I form it in a loaf pan lined with plastic wrap, refrigerate for a bit so it holds, and dump it on the mats.

Thanks, that is along the lines I was thinking. My loaves are usually loaf pan size & I mostly use a pan for set up but then just set crosswise on the grid, usually works out fine.

Cheers
