Smokey BBQ Green Beans
Ingredients:

In a deep, half-size steam table aluminum pan combine:

  • 1 #10 can cut green beans, drained, reserving 3/4-1 cup of liquid
  • 2 T BBQ rub
  • 2 c BBQ sauce
  • 1 T granulated garlic (or garlic powder or 2 cloves fresh garlic) OR 1 small-medium onion, diced (or dried equivalent)
  • 1 c Bacon crumbles (optional)
Instructions:

Put on smoker for approximately 1 hour (check @ 45 min.) at 275 degrees.

Serves about 20 people.

If you make your own bacon crumbles, be sure to drain the grease and use a paper towel to pat the excess grease from the bacon.

Notes:

Change it up:

Add 1-1 1/2 c cubed ham, 15 oz. can pineapple tidbits or chunks

Use pineapple juice from the fruit instead of liquid from the green beans. Leave out the bacon (optional)
