Boatman's Bang Bang Shrimp
Description:A dead ringer for the Bonefish Grill Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer.

Recipe for the sauce:
1/2 cup mayo
1 TBS plus 1 tsp Asian chili sauce
2 tsp honey
Kosher salt

For the Shrimp:
Vegetable oil for frying
2 large eggs
3/4 cup flour
1/2 cup cornstarch
Kosher salt & pepper
1 1/2 pounds of shrimp peeled
scallions for garnish


Mix mayo, chili sauce, honey, 1/4 tsp salt and 1 tsp water in a large bowl...set aside

Heat 2 inches of oil in a dutch oven over medium heat until it is 350 degrees or so.

Whisk the eggs in a shallow bowl. Whisk the flour, cornstarch, and 1 tsp each salt and pepper in another bowl.

Dredge the shrimp in the egg then in the flour to thickly coat. Fry in the oil about 1-2 minutes until golden brown. Transfer to paper towel with a slotted spoon to drain.

Toss the shrimp in with the prepared sauce and enjoy!
